For years I've been teaching mindfulness and trauma-sensitive yoga in the local jail, juvenile detention center, community centers, and schools to inspire balanced well-being and nervous system relaxation. As I often point out at the jail, "The difference between a monk and a prisoner is the monk chooses to live simply and separate." Having come to yoga 20 years ago while suffering from PTSD, I've gained health, strength, balance, and flexibility from the practices. I hope you will, too.
